Melissa McCarthy talks candidly about his worst experience on set, and I honestly think it’s a really bad story.
Melissa didn’t name anyone, but she said there was one person who worked on the project and it turned out to be a nightmare for everyone.
“I once worked for someone who ran a set that was very unstable and hostile, and it made me sick,” Melissa told British television. Guardian newspaper.
She continued, “My eyes were swollen. I was absorbing all of this nut.”
And not only was she affected by this man, so were others. Melissa explained that people were often “crying” and “obviously very upset” during her work.
“I think that’s why the manipulation worked, because this person would fire people I love to get closer to me. That kept me from staying quiet.” she said. “It was very effective.”
Melissa said she finally realized she could not continue treatment and decided to speak up.
“One day I thought, ‘I’m done for today!’ I just kept telling them, ‘Stop, stop.’ And I knew I could never shut up again,” Melissa said.
Now, Melissa says she’s very picky about who she works with through her production company On the Day.
She explained that she and her husband, Ben Falcone, do “crazy checks” to determine if a person is genuinely kind.
“You know, we were so surprised and grateful to be able to build our own little world. I was like, ‘I have to,'” said Melissa.
She continued, “Without screaming and mad egos moving around, it would work a lot better. Why should I risk destroying it?”
