Hello reality TV fans! Hello TV lovers! Hello strategy gamers! I have arrived (like the cloaked messenger of the night) to bring you your new favorite reality TV sensation: traitor!
traitoris based on a Dutch show, but is basically a massive mafia game (also known as Werewolf, between us) Place 20 contestants in a Scottish castle and have them compete for $250,000.
First, let’s talk about the cast. twenty people. 10 are reality TV stars. The 10 are normal people who are honestly mostly duds, but it doesn’t matter.
I will prepare two survivor Alumni starting with the great Cirie Fields.
the other survivor Alum is Stephanie Lagrossa Kendrick.
move to survivorCBS sister show, Brotherthere is Cody Calafiore.
nothing expensive Brother More royalty than Rachel Riley, though.
while talking Brotherwe can also discuss reality TV legend Brandi Glanville. celebrity big brother 1.
another celebrity big brother The alum is Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte.
As we look to the world of Bravolebrities, we have Kyle Cooke. summer house.
there is also one Bachelor National Star: Arie Luyendyk Jr.
And finally, THE QUEEN HERSELF by Kate Chastain. under deck.
Like I said, there are 10 other contestants, but it doesn’t matter. What’s important, though, is Alan Cumming, who serves as a wonderful host for the show.
But let’s get back to the game! So twenty contestants arrive at the castle and Cumming informs them that some of them will be “traitors” and the rest will be “faithful ones”.
If the Faithfuls can eliminate all Traitors by the end of the game, they split the money. However, if the traitors manage to make it all the way through, they will take home the entire prize pot and leave the followers with nothing.
Every night, traitors gather and choose one follower to kill.
It’s always fun, but the contestants don’t qualify for the continental breakfast because a few of them arrive in the breakfast room each morning, after which it’s revealed which contestant was murdered.
The contestants who survived are always giddy, and it’s fun to watch the traitors try to pretend they’re surprised who’s alive and who isn’t.
Alan then comes in and shows the portrait of the person X died and informs the rest of the players about the day’s “mission”.
The most exciting part of the show, missions allow cast members to earn money, which goes to the prize pot at the end.
However, the mission is vibes, with eerie church bells ringing…
Spinning on a spooky old Ferris wheel…
And my favorite mission of the season involves rolling big barrels for miles in the countryside.
After the mission, the cast returns to the mansion to strategize as to who the traitor is and prepare for the “roundtable”.
Then everyone participates in a roundtable discussion. This is honestly the best part of each episode. The group all guess who they think the traitor is before voting to “banish” him. Once expelled, contestants reveal whether they are traitors or loyal.
The group usually votes faithfully. This is cathartic for the viewer, everyone is soooo smug and usually they are wrong.
The 10-episode series is a must-see for fans of strategy-based reality TV. It’s also a must-see for those who want to see Alan in the best costume ever put together.
And the combination of this middle part and the brooch.
TL;DR traitor It’s my reality TV obsession. I want everyone to see it and we need a second season without normals. Only available for streaming on Peacock.
